JUDE BELLINGHAM REVEALS MESSAGE FROM MAN UTD STAR AHEAD OF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL

Jude Bellingham has revealed he has received a ‘little message’ from Jadon Sancho ahead of the Champions League final.

It will be the ‘Jude Bellingham derby’ of sorts at Wembley on Saturday, when Real Madrid face Borussia Dortmund with the winner being crowned the best team in Europe.

Victory for Real would surely cement Bellingham’s status as one of, if perhaps not the best player in the world right now after being named La Liga Player of the Year following his side’s title triumph.

The England international has scored 23 goals and made 12 assists in 39 appearances across all competitions in his first season with Los Blancos and could well fire his country to victory at Euro 2024.

But before he links up with the rest of the Three Lions there is the small matter of the Champions League final where he’ll face his former Dortmund teammates for the first time since leaving the German side last summer.

Speaking to Real Madrid’s media channel, Bellingham was asked if he had spoken to any of their players ahead of the Wembley showdown.

‘Not been speaking with any of them this week,’ the 20-year-old initially replied.

‘When we first went through I got a little message from Jadon. So I spoke with Sancho.

‘Just saying, “I’ll see you there”, and all those kinds of things.

‘Jadon’s always been someone who’s taken me under his wing when I first arrived at Dortmund. He’s a really good guy. He’s helped me a lot.’

Sancho rejoined Dortmund in January on loan from Manchester United after being exiled from the first-team following a public bust-up with Erik ten Hag.

His form over the past few months has been reminiscent of his performances prior to moving to Old Trafford, which included 18-months alongside Bellingham in which time they won the 2021 German Cup.

They were both part of England’s squad for Euro 2020 but the winger won’t be on the plane to Germany having missed out on a place in Gareth Southgate’s preliminary squad.
