ROBERTO FIRMINO: CONTRACT DETAILS AT NEXT CLUB AFTER LIVERPOOL LEAKED WITH SIGNATURE EXPECTED WITHIN TWO WEEKS

After his Liverpool career came to an end, the terms Roberto Firmino is in line to receive from main suitors Real Madrid have been revealed.

Firmino will officially become a free agent at the start of next month, but he may have his next move wrapped up by then. He has made the last of his 362 appearances for Liverpool, from which he scored 111 goals and revolutionised his role in Jurgen Klopp’s attack.

After falling down the pecking order at Anfield, despite a respectable farewell season with 13 goals from 35 games, Firmino is now ready to embark on a new challenge where he can enjoy more prominence.

He has been linked with a range of suitors, but in recent days, talk of a free transfer to Real Madrid has heightened. Carlo Ancelotti’s side could lose Karim Benzema at the end of his own contract this summer.

Benzema has been tipped to accept a lucrative offer to play in Saudi Arabia, despite still being the reigning holder of the Ballon d’Or. In turn, Firmino could replace him at the Bernabeu.

And details have now emerged, via Defensa Central, which is a Real Madrid-oriented website, about the contract Firmino could sign in the Spanish capital.

Per the report, Firmino has requested a contract until 2026 from his next club. Furthermore, he wants to earn around €5m per season (around £83,000 per week).

Keen to bring Firmino into his club, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to satisfy the 31-year-old’s demands.

Real Madrid to offer Roberto Firmino 2+1 deal

The only slight modification that Madrid intend to make is that his initial contract would be for two years with the option of another, rather than an up-front, three-year deal.

Another twist is that Firmino could actually become a deputy to Benzema, rather than his replacement. Indeed, some sources are now expecting the Frenchman to remain with Real Madrid for another season.

But at the age of 35, Benzema’s gametime is going to reduce significantly anyway. With that in mind, Los Blancos have been looking for a reliable rotation option.

It has effectively become a two-horse race between Firmino and Joselu, a former Real Madrid academy product who had spells with Stoke City and Newcastle United but has just been relegated from La Liga with Espanyol.

Yet the track leading them to Firmino looks more appealing at the moment, so much so that Defensa Central is claiming Perez wants to seal the deal within the next two weeks.

Los Merengues could give Firmino his first taste of La Liga football; he ended up at Liverpool after spells in his native Brazil with Figueirense and Germany with Hoffenheim.
